Black Hills: Day 1

Michael and I took a day-trip together, while Mike got the camp set up. Michael at Sylvan Lake.

We did our 1st night in the Black Hills at a campground just north of Hot Springs. Our week was booked at a campground at Angostura State Park, but we couldn't check in until Sunday. So... Mike turned us loose to go explore - very nice of him!

We headed right for Custer State Park to see the wildlife.

Rock shop in Custer, SD. One of grandma's favorite places to look around. Michael enjoyed seeing the many fossils and rocks. He didn't want a mud ball, though.

We finished up our 1st day at Angostura with a little evening fishing. So beautiful.
