Fort Robinson, Nebraska

Fort Robinson, Nebraska
Wild burros at Fort Robinson. They are NOT friendly - not even with each other. The white one (in the back) had bite marks all over him. Poor gal!

I am so behind on the blog that I have decided to try to do a photo-dump with some minor comments explaining where we were and what we did this summer(2024). If you have never visited Fort Robinson, we highly recommend. If you don't have a camper, they have many types of accommodations; whole houses Officer's Quarters and barracks and more traditional rooms in the main building.

Fun Fact: Fort Robinson is the most booked destination for family reunions in the U.S. Several of the Officer's Quarters are large enough to house 60+. It's neat the way that they have made it comfortably modern, yet continues to retain its old west integrity.

Mike opted to spend another couple of weeks with us at Fort Rob - I think he was enjoying himself.
M & M hiking the buttes while grandma works. 😄
Lots of fishing for these guys! Very successful!
Great-grandma joined us for an action-packed weekend! Lookin' good grandma!
The 4 of us went on a 90 minute trail ride up the buttes. It was so much fun!
Jeep tour of the buttes. Such beautiful country!
So much history at Fort Robinson. Too much of that history is tragic for the Native American people. Crazy Horse was murdered here at Fort Robinson as there was also an "Indian War" that this monument is for.
Even Dexter got in on the fun!
Chuckwagon breakfast - YUM! Beautiful dining room, don't you think?
Mom & I went to Toadstool State Park. Wow! Didn't realize this type of landscape was in Nebraska!
