Hiking in Big Bend & the BEST sunset picture I ever took!

No filters or enhancements - could not believe how beautiful this turned out!

So, many/most of you know that I have 2 brand new knees - neither one is even a year old. Why would I be sharing this in my blog, you ask? Well, this 65 year old woman wanted so badly to hike some trails in Big Bend - that's one of the main reasons people come here, right? My voice of reason (Mike) prevailed with a compromise of hiking the "easy" trails and it worked out just great! Tuesday we left camp after work to hike Lower Burros Mesa Pour-off trail. Beautiful and doable - about a 1.5 mile round trip with some climbing and rocks but mostly just peaceful beauty. After that, we decided to stay in the park and find a vantage point to catch the sunset and man! was it ever worth it!!! C' ya on the road! Julie
