Howdy, from Terlingua, Texas!

Well, Texas is a BIG state! We arrived at our campsite in Terlingua Sunday afternoon about 2:00 PM. We set up quickly and were out the door by 3:00 to head over to Big Bend National Park. WOW! This park is gorgeous and HUGE! We spent about 3 and a half hours exploring. We took a short route through the park and plan to do more in bits and pieces throughout the week. I am working until 5:00 M-F, so Mike is scouting and finding what to do each night after work. The biggest thrill for me was seeing and getting my feet wet in the Rio Grande river. The whole time we were in the park I felt as if I were in an old western movie - you know, John Wayne style. 😄 Like there might be a row of horses with cowboys or Native Americans peering down from the high cliffs above at us as we rolled through the park.
