Last day in Big Bend & Terlingua

Last day in Big Bend & Terlingua

Our time here was amazing! I'm so glad we got to spend a week. There is no way that you can get a taste of what this area is like over just a weekend. We knew Saturday would be a full day and we knew that Sunday we would lose an hour (daylight savings) and with a long drive to Las Cruces ahead of us, but no matter. We headed out into the park to experience Rio Grande Village - the end of the road. We did more hiking and saw more diverse and gorgeous scenery. We ended up back in Terlingua at the Starlight for dinner. There we met some really cool people who were also visiting. We sat at the bar and had dinner with our new friends. I think on this post I will just include some shots that are not sequential, but that I think are interesting and fun. C' ya on the road! Julie

Hot Springs original ranch house.
Tunnel to Rio Grande Village.
Rio Grande and Mexico across the river.
It's a rocky road to the Hot Springs.
Cool little venue called Venue in Terlingua. Coffee and sandwich shop.
Hike across the desert to the petroglyphs.
Hiking down from the Rio Grande overlook by Rio Grande Village.
For scale :)
New friends on the last night!
