Sundown at White Sands National Park

We finished our Saturday wanderings with a gorgeous sunset at White Sands. This is really a must-see. The powdery white sand rises up from the scruffy brown desert - it's a real contrast. You can walk the trails at White Sands and sled down the slopes. We didn't have time (or the knees) to do either this time, but we may be back. We have lifetime passes to the National Parks - so glad we did that last year before we started this journey! It has saved us considerable money in park entrance fees. C'ya on the road! Julie
